About us

Built for the merchants no one else would sign.

Mount Pay is a payment infrastructure company for South Asia. We built it for the operators who kept hearing "we don't do your vertical" from every mainstream PSP, and then still needed to accept UPI, bKash and JazzCash reliably.

Why we exist

Because "we don't do that vertical" isn't a payment strategy.

Every payment company will happily take an e-commerce merchant selling t-shirts. That's the easy business. When you're an iGaming operator, a forex broker, a prediction platform or any of the dozen verticals that make South Asia's actual internet economy work, the same PSPs stop returning your emails.

The problem isn't that these merchants are risky in some untenable way. The problem is that mainstream PSPs built their compliance stack for the safest 80% of the market and then decided the other 20% wasn't worth learning about. So merchants who could clear compliance in a serious framework end up cobbling together three sub-scale gateways, hitting 82% success rates, and losing days to reconciliation.

We built Mount Pay because someone had to build the grown-up version of that stack. Serious compliance. Real rails. Human support. Verticals we understand as first-class customers rather than exceptions.

"We stopped losing 14% of our deposits to failed UPI attempts on day 3. That's not a payment gateway, that's a growth channel."

What we believe

The four opinions Mount Pay is built on.

Every product decision, every underwriting call, every escalation policy traces back to one of these.

01

The customer's rail wins.

Whatever payment method your customer already has money in. UPI, bKash, JazzCash, a bank account they don't use for anything else. That's the one we clear. Not the one that's easiest for us to reconcile.

02

Compliance is table stakes, not a moat.

ISO 27001, licensed acquiring partners in every country we serve. This should be the baseline for any serious payment company. We just don't use it as a reason to be slow.

03

High-risk verticals are just verticals.

iGaming, forex, prediction, betting. With valid licences and clean books, these are normal merchants for us. Not a favour we're doing. Not a reason to charge 3x. Not a queue we bury them in.

04

Humans, not tickets.

Every merchant gets a named account manager and a Telegram group with our ops team. Escalation is a message, not a form. If your money's stuck, someone is looking at it inside 5 minutes.

05

Boring beats clever.

Our API is boring. Our webhooks are boring. Our dashboard is boring. That's on purpose. When something is on fire at 2am, boring is what saves you.

06

Money moves on your customer's clock.

Weekends, holidays, 3am on a Sunday. IMPS, bKash, JazzCash clear in seconds regardless. That's a fact of the rails. Any gateway that tells you "outside business hours" for a payout is choosing not to.

Team

Small team. High trust. Long-tenure.

Mount Pay is run by a team that's spent years on the merchant side of South Asian payments before building a gateway. We know what it looks like when a rail wobbles at 8pm on a Saturday because we've been the ones losing sleep over it.

Every merchant is assigned an account manager on day one. Same person from onboarding through year three. Our integration engineers, ops leads and compliance team all sit in the same building (or the same time zone, at least). No handoffs. No "let me check with another team."

If you want to know who's actually going to answer your Telegram message at 3am, ask us. We'll tell you their name and share their calendar.
